I first met Lizzie not as a bride — but as a bridesmaid. She was part of her friend’s wedding at Wilderness Reserve in Suffolk a few years ago, where I was the makeup artist. I had the joy of doing her makeup on that day, and she loved the way her look felt — natural, glowing and authentic to her style.

Over the years, she had her makeup done by other artists for different occasions, but she always remembered the confidence she felt in her look that day. For Nancy’s bridal look, she wanted something soft, glowing and natural, yet modern and photography-ready. We focused on enhancing her beautiful features with luminous skin, softly defined eyes and perfectly blended tones that worked beautifully with the colourful wedding palette. Your Bridal Makeup Preview is such an exciting milestone in your wedding journey - it’s where your vision begins to come to life! To make the most out of this special appointment, there are a few things every Bride should keep in mind when prepping for their Bridal Preview.

Here’s how to show up prepared, confident, and ready to glow;

• Wear White

  It might seem simple, but wearing a white or ivory top (ideally in a similar neckline to your wedding dress) can make a big difference. This helps you and your artist see how the makeup tones work with your dress colour and overall Bridal aesthetic. It creates a more accurate picture of how you’ll look on your big day.

• Coordinate with Your Hair Preview

  If possible, schedule your Hair Preview for the same day as your Makeup Preview. Seeing your full Bridal look - hair, makeup, and attire-inspired-outfit - lets you envision the entire look more clearly.
